Nothing ruins a trip faster than a loud, shaky roof rack. These Vortex aero-style crossbars are built from aluminum and shaped to cut through the air, helping reduce drag and wind noise on long drives. Rubberized Vortex strips in the top channels smooth out airflow so you can focus on the road instead of the sound of your gear.
From kayaks and cargo boxes to snowboards and camping gear, these 49" long crossbars give you plenty of usable space. The system can handle up to 165 lbs, giving you room for multiple accessories when the adventure calls for it. The overhang design gives you extra mounting area without feeling cramped.
You don’t have to pick one style of attachment. The Vortex bars come ready for both channel-mounted and clamp-on gear, so you can use almost any bike rack, watercraft cradle, or cargo carrier you already own. The top channels are 13/16" wide x 1/4" tall with a 3/8" opening—plenty of room for secure mounts that stay put even over rough roads.
When your rack is loaded, it’s good to know your setup is protected. The crossbars include integrated plastic locks to deter theft of channel-mount accessories, while lockable cover plates on the legs secure the rack itself. You can even upgrade to all-metal locks (RRVA-LEC4, sold separately) for added peace of mind during overnight trips.
The system includes two aluminum Vortex crossbars, four 2500 Series legs, and a custom fit kit—all designed for long-term reliability. The crossbars have a limited lifetime warranty, while the legs and fit kit carry 5-year limited warranties. It’s a setup built to stay solid through years of road trips, outdoor hauls, and weekend adventures.

Still happy. Theres a whistle, but you can fix it with a bit of foam insulation in the bottom of the rail.

Still rock solid after a year. Very happy with the Rack. My daughter has used it from time to time over the past year when something wont fit in her car, and shes had no problems with it at all.
